YOUTH WEEK 2021.
You’re never too young to change the world and here at ACE we celebrate our many talented youth that have already started making waves within the construction industry. With this year’s theme for youth week ‘we’re stronger together’, we took this opportunity to catch up with a few of our bright young leaders who are already striving towards leaving a positive legacy for future generations.
Sonali, our Sustainability Advisor who is currently working on one of our biggest infrastructure projects, reflects on what she has achieved so far; “ACE gave me the opportunity to learn more about Aboriginal culture, values and beliefs along with construction processes and behaviours towards sustainability practises and how it plays a role within the construction industry”.
Jerry, an Undergraduate Engineer is already thinking of ways to reduce the cost of a major infrastructure project by keeping it under budget, sustainable and eco-friendly; “I would love to leave behind a positive impact on the construction industry, whether that be through innovative or more effective construction methods”.
Their advice for other young people, ‘be curious and open, make the best use of every opportunity and always give everything a go’.
