Essential Energy required expansion to the Maher St Zone Substation in Bega to cater for the increasing demand. This required works in both brownfield and greenfield areas to enable the expansion.
Ace Electrical was involved in the following scope of works:
- Demolition of nominated existing infrastructure
- Prepare adjoining block for switch yard extension, including;
- Earthworks, and
- Install new concrete driveway
- Supply and install new high security fence
- Supply & install new pit and conduit system
- Construction of new concrete footings in new yard area
- Construction of new footings in existing switchyard area
- Install free issue battery room
- Install water supply and drainage to battery room
- Prepare and re-seal driveway
- Supply & install new earth grid system
- Supply and install new drainage system
- Design and install step for switchyard access
