Cooper’s Bridge services mostly local traffic between Meredith and Steiglitz over the Moorabool River in Victoria. The original single lane, 3 span bridge was originally constructed in the 1930s and despite several small repair works was coming to the end of its service life, with a 20-ton load limit applied.
The new two lane, single span bridge removes the load limit and allows easier flowing traffic.
ACE Infrastructure as head contractor undertook all the structural elements of the bridge.
